#RIPVine: Our 5 favorite Viners of all time
The time has officially come, girls. Vine is dead. *Sigh*
You may remember in October that the company announced it would be folding after three glorious years of hilarious six-second vids. Though the mobile app has been discontinued, Vine (and its owner, Twitter) has kept the website online so people can still watch the amazing Vines that have been created. I mean, where would we be if we didn't have instant access to the "who is she?" Vine?
The sensational app was truly the perfect platform to show off your talents, relive your fave sports mems and capture remarkable moments you could loop *forever*. Below is a carefully-compiled list of our all-time *fave* Viners:
Lele Pons, 11.5 M
Eleonora "Lele" Pons was one of the most famous female Viners whose content consisted of mainly practical jokes aimed at her friends and family, as well as physical humor. We couldn't get enough of her hilarious takes on everyday topics like studying and crushes. Lele became one of the first Viners to exceed 1 billion loops (yep, with a "B"), and is credited with the popular saying of "Do it for the Vine!" In 2014, she even earned a Teen Choice Award for "Choice Viner." We'll definitely miss her quality clips.
KingBach, 16.2 M
Originally introduced to Vine by Brittany Furlan (who signed off the app in November of 2015), Andrew B. Bachelor was truly the king of six-second comedy, becoming one of the most followed users on the app. Better known by his persona KingBach, he is best known for his over-the-top portrayal of himself as well as his collabs with other Viners such as Lele and Cameron Dallas, which all proved to be ridiculously funny and super popular.
Jérôme Jarre, 8.6 M
French personality Jérôme Jarre posted his first Vine on the day the app launched, in January of 2013. Most of his humor comes from him playing pranks on strangers in New York City, and he's made Vines with tons of celebs including Robert De Niro, Pharrell Williams, Ashton Kutcher, Ben Stiller, Ansel Elgort and Kristen Bell. He's even made a video with Michelle Obama! Check them out here.
Liane V, 4.6 M
We just couldn't get enough of her dancing vids with her dad! Singer-songwriter Liane Valenzuela is a prime example of a multi-media star, as she's gained fame across Vine, Musical.ly and Instagram. We'll miss all her hilarious collaborations and singing vids.
Josh Peck, 9.1 M
While many might just remember him from his role as Josh Nichol's in Nickelodeon's Drake & Josh, he actually became a distinguished personality on Vine, racking up over 9 million followers. Most of his Vines are simply of him in front of the camera sitting in his car, but despite the simplicity he continually crafted funny relatable six-second masterpieces! Take a look at one of them here.
