#Being13: Tonight CNN reveals how social *really* affects us

Tonight at 9 p.m., CNN is sharing some real talk on teens and social media. They're airing "#Being13: Inside the Secret World of Teens," a special based on two years of tracking the social media habits of 200 eighth graders.

How do we really use social? What kind of bullying is going on behind the screens? What Anderson Cooper and CNN have shared so far is eye-opening.

According to CNN's blog, they found that teens can check social up to 100 times a day. “It’s like an instant barometer of popularity," Cooper says, refering to likes and hearts...or a lack thereof. He also shares about the stress of "lurking," aka logging onto social just to see what everyone else is posting or doing. Here's a full preview of #Being13

We'll definitely be tuning in to learn more about the negatives (and maybe positives?) of being connected all the time. Will you check it out? Let us know in the comments.
