Breaking news: Selena Gomez and her beau Benny Blanco are *officially* engaged!

Selena posted a picture of her stunning ring to her Instagram last night, plus a carousel of photos of her and her bae looking oh-so-smitten.

And let's just say: The Selenators are loving it! The world jumped to congratulate her after this romantic gesture, and her BFF Taylor Swift even chimed in with a clever comment of her own ("yes I will be the flower girl," she wrote under the announcement post).

Selena and Benny have known each other for years (making their coupling up a real "invisible string" moment). Benny first became friends with Selena's ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber (maybe you've heard of him?), in 2009. Over the years, Benny has collab-ed with many other artists in Selena's orbit. Little did the two know that soon they would become more than just work friends! 

Cut to March 2019: Selena and Benny release "I Can't Get Enough," their iconic collaboration. In the music video, Benny dances dressed as a teddy bear alongside Selena.

A few years later, in July 2023, Selena posts a playful TikTok about being single (yet in pics from her birthday party that surfaced soon after, she was pictured with Benny, which left fans speculating about whether something was going on between the two).

August 2023 rolls around, and Selena drops her new song, "Single Soon," which Benny produced (Coincidence? We think not!). 

In October 2023, Benny supports Selena at the first Rare Beauty Rare Impact Fund Benefit. Awh! 

Come November 2023, Benny debuts his new cookbook, which Selena promotes on her Instagram story.

And when December 2023 rolls around, the rumors about the pair's romance are revealed to be true! Selena leaves a winky face on a fan account speculating about her dating life from her Selena + Chef show. On December 7, she confirms via an Instagram comment that she and Benny had been dating privately for the last six months. 

One year later, in December 2024, the couple officially gets engaged. We can already hear the wedding bells!
