Instagram's latest update is just what we need
Well, they thought you did. When you download Insta’s latest update from the App Store, you will be treated to better search functions and a trending feature.
Now, on the Explore page (a.k.a. what comes up when you hit the magnifying glass), you’ll be able to see the biggest trending topics just like you see on your Facebook sidebar.
Plus, you’ll now be able to find exactly what you’re looking for when you search. Searching a hashtag won’t show you everyone and their mother’s latest (and probably unrelated) pics marked with that tag, but instead those under the tag with the most likes and comments—in other words, what you’re actually looking for. You’ll also be able to search by place, not just people, for even easier stalking of events and fuel for your raging FOMO.
