Girl Scouts finally earned it's gluten-free cookie badge
For all of you gluten allergy girlies, it’s time to get happy and hungry! Girl Scouts just recently announced that they will be selling two kinds of gluten-free noms that sound totally delish.
The cookies include "Trios", which is made with real peanut butter, chocolate chips, and whole grain oats. Then there’s "Toffee-tastic", which is buttery with bits of toffee mixed in. Are you drooling yet? We sure are...
These new gluten-free flavor varieties are the first in Girl Scouts history and are being sold nationwide from most councils starting Feb. 1, 2015.
So how are these exactly gluten-free?
The Trios Cookies are made with certified gluten-free whole grain oats and the Toffee-tastic Cookies are made with rice flour instead of all-purpose flour.
By switching out key cookie ingredients for gluten-free options, Girl Scouts created a tasty alternative for all you cookie lovers with gluten sensitivities.
