Is 13 too young to be on the cover of a high fashion magazine?
A few years ago, 10-year-old Thylane Blondeau set the fashion world on
fire when she was featured in a Paris
Vogue beauty feature with other young models, as well as on the cover of Vogue Enfants. Everyone had an opinion
on her modeling work at such a young age. Was she being sexualized? Were we
stealing her innocence?
Now, Thylane is back, and this time, the lovely 13-year-old is drawing comparisons to British super model Kate Moss. She covers the April issue of the French fashion mag Jalouse—and in this feature, she pretty much looks her age. But is skewing young a bad trend for fashion? The feature in Jalouse even includes the hashtag #bornin2001.
