Wanna carry the Olympic torch? Here's your chance!


You might not be an Olympic-caliber athlete, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take center stage at the 2012 London Olympics next summer. Thanks to Coca-Cola, 10 teenagers will be selected to carry the Olympic Flame during the torch relay.

 

The chosen torchbearers will be bright lights in their communities, effecting change and inspiring healthy, active living in their neighborhoods, schools, towns and cities. Anyone can nominate a teen by logging on to livepositively.com. You need to submit a 150-word essay explaining how the nominated teen “is a champion of living positively” by Aug. 15. Nominees must be legal U.S. residents between the ages of 13 and 18 as of today.

 

Winning teams will receive a trip to Oxford, England, with one guest, to take part in the torch relay. How neat is that?
