At only 14 years old, Calah Lane has already lived out everything on your wildest vision board: She's landed the leading role of Noodle in Wonka, attended amaze award shows with Hollywood's biggest stars, started recording a brand new album and basically become BFFs with Timothée Chalamet.

We already got the A-Z guide on everything Calah (just peep our February/March '24 issue), but we were just dying to find out more about this spunky, multi-talented actress-slash-musician—you know, the usual things, like whether she'd want to have a pet giraffe in her yard or a chocolate fountain in her bedroom. That's why we sat down to play a silly little round of Would You Rather with the up-and-coming star...

Girls' Life: Would you rather...have a lifetime supply of chocolate or a lifetime supply of candy?

Calah: A lifetime supply of chocolate! Chocolate is so much richer and *so* much better.

GL: Throughout Wonka, we see some, er, unusual ingredients like yeti sweat and giraffe milk. Which would you rather drink? 

Calah: Oh, ew! Giraffe milk. It just sounds....better. Definitely better. 

GL: Would you rather...play Veruca Salt or Violet Beauregarde from the OG Willy Wonka?

Calah: Ooh! Probably Violet Beauregarde, just so I could try the big suit and become a giant blueberry. Oh, and if I could be any character for a movie remake, I'd love to be in Clueless. I could totally play Dionne in that.

GL: Would you rather...have a pet giraffe in your backyard or a chocolate fountain in your bedroom?

Calah: I'd have a giraffe. I remember I was so excited to film the scene where we do get to pet a giraffe, but there was never a giraffe in front of me! I never got to meet or pet it—I was just, like, touching a black styrofoam head someone was holding up. 

GL: #LetCalahPetAGiraffe. Would you rather...describe your character Noodle as more adventurous or kindhearted? 

Calah: I think she's definitely more kindhearted than people think she is. It was so incredible to play a new character and have that flexibility in Wonka—I didn't have to stick to one aspect of her personality. I could create and shape it and be myself.

GL: Would you rather...visit Loompa Land or the Chocolate Factory?

Calah: I'd love to visit Loompa Land, but the Chocolate Factory? I mean, who can't go wrong with the Chocolate Factory? It's so cool and magical. 

GL: Would you rather...run your own chocolate factory like Wonka or just be able to visit one IRL? 

Calah: You know what? I'll run one and all of you can come. 💕
