One of the key things Harry Styles is known for is his fashion sense. He is constantly stepping outside the box and defying gender norms through his clothing choices. Love On Tour, ofc, was no exception.

Throughout all 169 shows, Styles donned everything from quirky suspenders to leather pants to sparkly fringe suits, and although I'd love to say he did it 100% flawlessly, there were some obvious bumps in the road (but only a few). Welcome to my non-definitive ranking of all Harry Styles's Love On Tour outfits...

HSLOT 2021

Straight out of the pandemic, the first leg of Love On Tour was characterized by suspenders and sparkles, with a few surprises in between.

The satin waistcoat and matching pants took the cake for this leg of the tour. It was a refreshing switch-up from the suspenders we'd been seeing from the first shows and unlike anything else he wore throughout the entirety of the tour. 

Toward the bottom of the list (sorry Philly!), the color combinations started to get a bit repetitive, compared to some of the bolder, flashier looks.

Harryween

It wouldn't be fair to compare the Harryween costumes to any other tour outfit, so they deserve their own category.

Dorothy was his best work by far. A prime example of Harry's defiance of gender norms in fashion, there's no debate––he slayed this. Complete with ruby red slippers and a basket for Toto, Harry showed us there's no place like Harryween.

Smack in the middle of Harry's L.A. residency, Harryween 2022 brought us Danny Zuko. The all-black fit complete with the leather pants, custom embroidered shirt, and dyed hair was a great twist on a classic. Not to mention his rendition of Hopelessly Devoted to You in honor of the late OIivia Newton-John, which was was show-stoppingly beautiful.

Harry's clown costume for night two of Harryween 2021, although in the last spot on this ranking, was still iconic. Plus, this night gave us the mashup of his unreleased song, Medicine, and Britney Spears's Toxic. 

One Night Only

Harry's House One Night Only was actually two nights only––one in New York and one in England––but I'll let Harry get away with that, I suppose.

The heart shirt on night one in New York felt like a sneak preview of the heart overalls we'd come to see on Harry's first solo night at Wembley Stadium in London. He tied the two nights together with chunky jewelry and switched out the hearts for polka dots on night two. 

Coachella

Although Harry's two weekends at Coachella weren't *technically* part of Love On Tour, the outfits were simply too good to leave out.

The pink metallic leather pants and matching vest? With his initials on the back? Say less. This was the perfect ensemble for his Lizzo collab and a great way to close out his first festival as a headliner. 

The sequined jumpsuit for weekend one was also amazing, especially when it was revealed from underneath the black feather coat. This fit looked so gorg as he dominated the stage at one of the nation's biggest music festivals. And his collab with Shania Twain? It doesn't get better, bby!

HSLOT 2022

The first international leg of Love On Tour kicked off after the release of Harry's House in the summer of 2022, where he swapped out the suspenders and button-downs for suits, overalls and every pattern under the sun.

The yellow and purple suit in Rio was top-notch. It was so different from anything else we saw in 2021 and the sparkly, open-chested ensemble looked amazing on stage.

Harry's first solo performance at Wembley Stadium in London brought us the iconic red and white heart overalls, which made a comeback later for his four-night run at Wembley in 2023. 

The bottom of this list gets a little scary—especially with the bright clashing hues. The patterns and colors were shocking, to say the least, but while they're not my favorite, it really is hard for Harry to look bad in anything. 

NYC Residency

Harry's historic 15-night run at Madison Square Garden was legendary.

The denim vest on night six? Flawless. 

The glittery jumpsuit he was wearing on night fifteen—when he was given the banner that now hangs permanently in MSG—will always live rent-free in my head.

Maybe I'm biased because night one of the NYC residency was the show I attended (!), but the blue and white striped suit was so playful and a fab way to kick off these performances.

Austin Residency

Harry's second residency of 2022 took place at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas

Another residency, another denim vest. I don't know what it is about the sixth night, but he always knocks it out of the park. 

The brown suit with the sparkly fringe gave maaajor cowboy vibes and was def the best way to kick off a Texas residency.

Nights two through five saw an onslaught of mismatched patterns and colors that weren't exactly easy on my eyes, landing those looks in the bottom four spots (for me personally!).

Chicago Residency

Harry did six amazing nights at the United Center in Chicago in six equally amazing looks.

Harry closed out Chicago in a fitted yellow heart-printed tank top, paired with the baby blue trousers. This was a simple look, but when you're Harry Styles, sometimes that's all you really need.

The blue and red sparkly suit with the white tank top for night one felt very patriotic and was a fitting opening night pick. 

I don't feel too strongly about the last three looks, but the leather pants on night three and the matchy-matchy color combination on night two elevated them over night four for me.

Los Angeles Residency

The Kia Forum was transformed into Harry's House for another 15-night run.

The image of the pink and blue tassel suit would not leave my brain for days after I saw it, and the tan and red palm tree suit was the perfect homage to California to kick off his stay in L.A..

Harry may have ripped his pants on night thirteen, but at least he did so in style.

The red, yellow, purple, and white striped set on night ten was too much and not enough all at the same time, landing it the bottom spot for the L.A. residency.

Palm Springs –– The Birthday Shows

Harry celebrated his 29th birthday in style with a two-night run at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California.

In my opinion, the pink, sparkly open-chested suit was the perfect way to ring in 29. The popcorn applique on night one was another cute homage to California, but nothing could top his birthday fit.

HSLOT Down Under

Harry finally made it back to Australia and New Zealand in February and March of 2023 for the first time since his first tour, Live on Tour, in 2018.

The pink and yellow vest with the tassels on the first night in Sydney was amazing. Total rockstar energy.

The coordinated suits are a classic, and it's hard to go wrong there. The light yellow and bright blue were the perfect colors for Australia's summer months. 

The sequin-patch shirts in Perth, Auckland and Gold Coast were fun and lighthearted choices with lots of personality. Besides the bright colors, there was nothing *too* exciting about the pink and red striped shirt, earning it the bottom spot for this leg of tour.

HSLOT Asia

The Asian leg of the tour was short and sweet.

The coordinated suits in Tokyo were so fun, and the sparkly dotted jumpsuit in Bangkok was a pleasant switch up from the initial polka dot fits we saw earlier on in the tour. The lowcut, striped and sparkly set he wore in Seoul reminds me a lot of his Coachella fit for Weekend 1. I love the cut but am not feeling the color combination, which is why I ranked it fourth.

The last two fits in Singapore and Manila were not as fresh and different as the first four, landing them in the bottom spots.

HSLOT 2023 –– Europe and the UK

The final shows of Love On Tour did not disappoint, outfit-wise.

2023 saw the grand return of the Wembley heart jumpsuits, sans shirt for the fourth night. 

Harry was positively glowing in the sequin vest in Lisbon. Plus, the sparkly fringe suit at the final show in Reggio Emilia was the perfect callback to the first fits of Love on Tour in 2021. This leg of the tour also brought us Harry's iconic and historic performance at Slane Castle in Ireland, where he was shining in a silver and green open-chested jacket and white pants.

I loved the all-black outfits with the leather pants in Paris, Edinburgh, and Amsterdam. It was such a sophisticated switch-up from the other tour outfits and it looked so sleek.

It's hard to say what it is about the striped, collared shirts and leather pants ensembles, but they just don't do it for me, which is what landed them at the bottom of this list.

Overall, Love On Tour was an *iconic* era for outfits. I, for one, can't wait to see what Harry brings us whenever he decides to grace us with his onstage presence next.
