Met Gala madness happened last night, and we are still not over it! The gala is an annual fundraising event that benefits the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in NYC and one of the biggest fashion and celeb-filled nights of the yar. Each year, celebs come dressed to a theme. This year's? Avant-garde! Some chose to play it safe, while others embraced the daring theme head on. Check out the best looks below!

Zendaya
Known for her ever-changing hair, Z's look last night was OTT in the best way. She rocked a beautiful yellow floral off-the-shoulder dress with parrots (parrots!!) all over by Dolce & Gabbana and paired it with hair so big it *must* be full of secret (and we want to know them all, like, uh, how did you get to be so beautiful???).

Hailey Baldwin
This model looked super glam in her nude-colored two-piece gown last night. It featured a strapless, cropped bustier and tulle floor-length skirt—and she even paired it with a crystal studded veil! Too out there for prom? Nah!

Kylie Jenner
The younger KJ also rocked a nude-colored dress to the event. Hers was embroidered and by Versace, which she paired with her new sleek platinum blonde bob. Along with being one of the best dressed celebs of the night, Kylie also managed to take the selfie of the year featuring her sisters Kendall and Kim, as well as rappers A$AP Rocky, P. Diddy and *so* many more.

Rihanna
She can literally pull of anything and look amazing, so it's no surprise Rihanna is the queen of the Met Gala.  Embracing the theme and even wearing a dress by honored designer, Rei Kawakubo, she won the night for her over-the-top red floral dress.  

Selena Gomez
Making her red carpet debut with new beau, The Weeknd, Selena Gomez stunned in a light pink dress with colorful embroidery and thigh high slit in the front. She completed her look with bright pink eye shadow and a sleek bob. Selena did not disappoint us! 

Lily Collins 
Combining a flirty pale pink skirt with a studded black bodice, Lily Collins showed off the goth fairytale look of our dreams last night. Add in her vampy makeup and super short bob and we cannot get enough of her daring vibes. 

Zoe Kravitz 
The pixie queen Zoe Kravitz wowed in a black and millennial pink caped gown, a similar color combo to Lily's look. Her recently-debuted bleach blonde cropped cut paired with her fierce winged eye and otherwise minimal makeup had her looking fresh and beautiful.
