It’s about this time of year that I really start to appreciate the versatility of the knee-high sock. Mid-winter usually finds me in a wardrobe rut, and I’m sure I’m not alone. (I think I’ve worn jeans, boots and a sweater nearly every day this week.) So when I’m in need of some serious outfit inspiration, I turn to my sock drawer. 

Pull on a thick knit pair over your go-to leggings for a cozy-cool layer of added warmth. Let a printed pair just peek out over the tops of your boots. Scrunch ‘em just-so over your tights and rock some ankle boots. Trust: adding to your sock collection is probably the simplest way to spruce up a cold-weather wardrobe in no time. Perfect for that I-look-awesome-without-even-trying vibe that’s so easy to miss and so hard to nail.
