Your official guide to a holiday-themed Everything Shower
Ho ho ho! We've got your official holiday-themed guide to the iconic Everything Shower.
In case you're new here, the Everything Shower is designed to pamper your body *and* your mind, giving you some time away from the demands of school, work, friends and fam—all while glowing up your skin.
Our advice? Set aside time once a week to *really* unwind this holiday season. So you don't feel rushed, we recommend scheduling your Everything Shower on a day with a lot of downtime—when schoolwork is light, soccer practice is over and your sister is busy with her friends.
Scalp detox
Pacifica Rosemary Apple Cider Scalp Detox Tonic, $17
The first step to an Everything Shower? Everything Hair, ofc.
Use a scalp scrub like this Pacifica scalp detox tonic to clear your pores of natural build-up (such as flakes and leftover hair products, yuck). Massaging the product into your hair with a clarifying scalp brush can improve circulation and stimulate hair follicles. (Just remember to only use it once a week to avoid stressing out your skin.)
Shampoo
Philosophy Sugared Crust Shampoo, $10
Save your shampoo for right after your scalp treatment, so you can cleanse your hair of excess product and debris. We heart this 3-in-1 shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath combo. Not a fan of super sweet scents? Try refreshing Candy Cane, fruity and floral Snow Angel or cozy Warm Apple Cider.
Conditioner
Native Fresh Mistletoe Volumizing Conditioner, $10
Native uses all-natural ingredients (only 10!)—and comes in a bunch of seasonal scents. With notes of cedar and sandalwood, this Fresh Mistletoe conditioner boosts your hair's natural volume, helping your locks appear fuller. It is also safe for color-treated hair *and* for our curly girlies (score!).
Body wash
You want a body wash that will lather well, plus leave your skin smelling ah-mazing and feeling buttery smooth. Enter: this delish sugar cookie scent from Native. (You could also try Candy Cane, Fresh Mistletoe of Spiked Eggnog.) Use a loofah or washcloth for a squeakier clean.
Sugar scrub
Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrubs, $17
Now that your body is clean, it's time to exfoliate! These viral shea sugar scrubs trio has scents of Candy Cane, Sparkling Sugar and Moroccan Rose. Apply to damp or dry skin and scrub in a circular motion to exfoliate and soften your bod.
Face wash
Native Sugar Cookie Moisturizing Facial Cleanser, $10
Forget sugar plums—sugar *cookies* are dancing in our heads! (Sugar cookie-scented face wash, that is.) The last step of an Everything Shower is washing your face. Use a moisturizing face wash to cleanse and soften your complexion (a hydrating formula is extra important during the dry winter months).
BONUS! Shower steamer
Joon x Moon Cinnamon Bark Shower Steamers, $5
Shower steamers, though not required, are a serious upgrade to any spa night! Just put one tablet on the floor before you step in, and let the aromatherapy wonders work their magic. Looking for a more natural shower steamer? Try hanging a bunch of eucalyptus from your shower head for *all* the tropical vibes. (Just be sure to keep it away from your pets, pls.)
Don't forget the towels!
Pottery Barn Pine Tree Bath Towel, $40
End your Everything Shower and wrap yourself in a soft (and festive) towel. Now you're free to 1) snuggle up in your comfiest PJs to watch a holiday flick or 2) lie on your bed for an hour in your towel scrolling TikTok (we won't judge).
