All signs (aka TikTok and Insta beauty influencers) point to glowy makeup looks this summer. But unlike previous seasons, this year's looks are full of color. We all know the magic of bronzer and highlight for a sunkissed look, but blush might just be the missing ingredient in your summer makeup bag. Ready to unlock your best blush look ever? Read on for everything you need...

1. Moisturized skin

PSA: There is nothing you can do to make your skin look glowy if you aren't hydrated and moisturized. Make sure you're drinking your water and applying moisturizer on the reg (morning and night, pls).

2. Liquid blush

Liquid blushes contain more moisture and pigment compared to powder blushes, so they pack serious glow potential. One drop (literally) and you have enough. One drop, don't stop (they said it first).

For a dramatic blush look, apply along the entire cheekbone all the way up to the space right below your temple. (Hey, we told you it was dramatic!) Blend it into your skin, which brings us to the next thing you'll need: a blending sponge.

3. Makeup sponge

Beautyblender Original Makeup Sponge, $20

Our all-time fave sponge is the Original Beautyblender. There's a reason it took the makeup world by storm a few years ago. Apply the blush directly onto your face, then use the makeup sponge to press the blush into your skin. This ensures a smooth, natural finish.
