Dry skin? You *need* to try this 3-ingredient DIY face mask
We are currently *living* for winter weather rn, but we can't lie—our skin is in need of some serious TLC. With the endless available options these days, taking care of your skin can feel totally intimidating. We feel you—scrolling through product reviews for hours just to end up right where you started is *not* the vibe.
Have no fear, GL is here (to help you have the *glowiest* skin ever)! You don't have to break the bank to have radiant skin this holiday season. In fact, you can make your own DIY hydrating face mask with three common ingredients that you most likely already have in your pantry.
You will need...
1. 1/2 avocado
2. 1 tablespoon of honey
3. 1/2 cup oats
Once you have gathered the goods, making the mask couldn't be easier. Simply mix everything together with a fork (make sure to mash the avocado!) and you are good to go. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes, relax, rinse, and enjoy your *super* fresh skin.
So... why does it work?
Avocado, honey and oats are absolute *miracle* workers for dry skin.
Honey has some seriously *sweet* skin benefits. According to @rawbeautysourcecom on Instagram, honey is antibacterial and anti-imflammatory, meaning that it moisturies and fights breakouts at the same time! We are *obsessed* to say the least.
Did you know that avocados are just as good for your skin as they are for your bod? According to @detoxskin_hh on Instagram "the fatty acids and vitamins A, D, and E in avocado help the skin retain elasticity. They also supports healing and soothe the skin."
Last but certainly not least, oatmeal is a multitasking powerhouse when it comes to skincare. Oats are perfect for people with extreme dryness, and are often used in products make to treat eczema. According to @earthbound_organics on Instagram, oatmeal absorbs excess skin old and works as a physical exfoliant, meaning that you can say goodbye to those stubborn breakouts.
