How to gracefully grow out your bangs

There's *nothing* worse than a bad hair day.

Thankfully, bad hair days are usually few and far between. But when you're growing out your bangs, it can make *every* day feel like a bad hair day. Here's some of our fave ways to look fabulous, even in the awkward phase between bangs and no bangs.

First, accept the fact that you're going to want to reach for the scissors every two seconds. Resist. The. Urge. You're only going to go back to square one.

Barrettes, butterfly hair clips and exposed bobby pins are a trendy *and* functional way to keep your bangs back! Throw on a flannel and an edgy choker while you're at it for the complete '90's experience.

Bandannas are so versatile, they deserve their own category. Whether you want the cute headband look or the sporty tied-back 'do, bandannas will be your best friend for keeping long bangs out of your eyes! (DIY tip: Get white bandanas and tie dye them. Super cute!)

Braid them back! You can do a chic side braid, edgy boxer braids, or even a twisted braid.

Gimme a G! Gimme an L! Go GL! Super high cheerleader ponies are the perfect way to have a low effort, high fashion hairdo. This works best with bangs that are further along in the growing out stage, but once you're there it's a *total* mane moment.

Slick your bangs back with pomade or gel for a super slick, fresh-out-of-the-water look. It may be fall weather, but we're still loving it.

To the left or to the right? Either way, sideswept bangs are a classic style.
