Quick ways to get party-perfect curls

Ditch those stick-straight strands for red-carpet inspired curls that’ll dazzle this season. Here’s how to get amazing ringlets for all those soirees and dates in seconds. Don’t worry, curly girls, we have tips for you, too!

If you’ve got 20 mins to get ready
OK, we’re soo into these teeny set of rollers. You can toss them in your tote and do your hair right before Grandma serves up dinner. Start by rolling the hair on the top of your head into the curlers (don’t worry if your locks aren’t squeaky clean!). Then, clip each roller place. Continue all the way around your head until your hair is all clipped up. Let the rollers cool. Carefully unwind hair, starting at the bottom of your head. Loosen with your fingers and hit strands with hairspray. Ta dah!

If your party is tomorrow
Wanna get a jumpstart on your style? Go to bed with foam rollers in your hair. You’ll wake up, shake out that mane and have pretty hair while you’re unwrapping prezzies (or at dinner). Start with damp hair. Apply some mousse. Roll your locks up in foam rollers—they’re totally inexpensive and can be found at a drugstore. Remember: the smaller the roller, the tighter the curl. We like bigger ones, for bouncier curls.

Then, hit the sack. In the morning, blast your hair with a blow-dryer on a low setting to finish drying. Unroll the curlers. Apply some smoothing cream and you’re done.

If you’ve got curls or waves
If you just hopped out of the shower, apply some curl lotion and let hair air dry or blow it out with a diffuser. Before your bash, use a wand-style curling iron (it won’t have a clip) to touch up those ringlets. Use the curling iron on any hair that’s misbehaving or is straighter than the rest of your strands (we aren’t sure how that happens, either). Spritz on some hairspray and keep your hands outta those curls all night. Gorge!
