The Easiest Way to Land Pretty Waves!
OK, summer may be over, but that doesn’t mean you have to ditch your long ‘n’ lovely waves. I got my hair snipped the other day, and my stylist showed me an easy way to enhance my waves—without busting out the curling iron. Here’s the how-to:
1. Start with the proper chop.
I might be a beauty editor but (confession!) it had been ages since I’d lopped my locks. Maintaining long layers will help bring out a natural curl. My hair had turned a li’l lifeless over the summer.
2. Use a curl cream.
3. Twist—don’t scrunch.
I’ve tried every method under the sun to boost my tresses: I’ve slept with buns in my hair, done the braid/unbraid thing, simple WISHED that my hair would look ripped-from-the-runway. Here’s the no-fail method: Loosely twist small sections of your hair while blow-drying your hair with a diffuser. Blow out hair until it’s 80-percent dry. Let it air dry the rest of the way to define the curls. And…you’re done! Now keep those mitts off to keep the frizz at bay.

In the past I’d stayed away from products made for curly girls. My stylist smoothed on a bit of curl serum while my hair was still damp. This one moisturizes, too, which is perf for post-summer, parched strands.
