Super-Straight Fix

I have super-straight and thick hair. I try to curl it, but once I do, the curls quickly disappear leaving me with my boring old straightness again. What can I put on my hair that will make it hold the curls. I've tried hairspray, and that made my hair all weird. Thanks!

Expert Advice From Nelson: Try a light hold gel on wet hair. Then dry hair and set it with hot rollers.
