Spring Cleaning

No more chilly air,
No more ice and snow,
Because winter is over,
Bring on the spring glow.

During those hard months,
The months that you weren't here,
I couldn't get you out of my head,
I saw your face through every tear

That rolled down my face
Because there weren't any hands to embrace

Me. But now is the time for new desires,
And maybe a whole new start
Where I don't feel so sad,
About being so far apart.

I vow to give this new beginning
A whole different meaning.
I shall, of my love life,
Do a little spring cleaning.

As I watch the flowers open up,
And feel the sun's warm kiss on my skin,
I realize that that is like my heart,
Unsealing and rehealing within.

This is a time for fresh starts,
And as the world starts greening,
I look into my heart,

And do a little spring cleaning.
