It's Raining - An original poem
I stare out the window,
As the drops begin to fall,
Like tiny ballerinas,
So fragile, so small.
They dance upon the pane,
Then they fall to the ground.
Gone forever,
Never to be found.
I sigh and look away,
I can’t wait anymore.
I pull on my boots,
And open the door.
I run outside,
And as I twirl in circles
Soaking wet,
A happiness deep inside me is stirred.
The air is crisp,
The grass is green,
In the air there’s a mist,
Sure, it’s muddy, but who cares?
Because…It’s raining.
