LIFE
Tough Stuff
Everyone in my school does drugs!
At first it didn't phase me because I didn’t know too many people who did drugs, but the other day there were cops and dogs who had to line up in our school’s hallway. About 10 students were caught with drug possession, and one of the students was a friend of mine.
Now I hate my school because of all the kids doing drugs. I'm afraid one day I’ll be sucked into the craze. How can I handle this?
Hey girl,
Drug stuff is tough. But honestly, students in my high school also did drugs and I never once touched them. Instead, I used all the negative experiences of the people around me as motivation to stay as far away from it as possible.
Stay Strong
You have to remember that you’re a strong gal! You have the smarts to know that you don’t want to get caught up in the drug scene, and how dangerous it can be. You may be peer pressured and curious at times, and there’s nothing wrong with having that feeling. But so long as you can stay true to who you are and not give into pressure, you’ll be able to fight it and stay away from drugs.
Birds of a Feather
I’m really sorry to hear one of your friends were one of the people who were caught. I do hope that because of their experience in getting arrested that they’re able to change their ways and be drug free! At the same time, not everyone in your entire school does drugs. Seek out friends that are just like you and stay close to them. True friends wouldn’t ever jeopardize their friends’ safety or put them in dangerous situations by doing drugs.
As I said before, the most important thing you need to do is trust yourself. You need to realize that you are stronger than the kid’s experimenting with drugs and you won’t get yourself into that mess. You can do it, girl!
