Snowed in? Here are some quick tips to survive the cold (and the boredom)

-
Go cocoa crazy.
Experiment with a bunch of different hot chocolate recipes to find out which one works best for you. Try cinnamon, mint, extra chocolate – you can even make up your own mixes. There’s no better time than a snowstorm to experiment with hot drink recipes.
-
Make a blanket fort.
Okay, so maybe it’s a been a few years since you’ve made one, but I bet you miss it, right? Blanket forts used to be so much fun and nothing’s going to keep you warmer when it’s so cold outside. Invite your neighborhood friend over and play some truth or dare and share spooky stories.
-
Binge watch.
Obviously a TV or movie marathon is the way to go, and you know you’re totally behind on that show you used to love. Take the day to relax and get all caught up on The Vampire Diaries or Pretty Little Liars so when you’re back in school tomorrow you can join the convo about last week's ep.
-
Get creative.
You’ve been busy lately getting back to school, so song-writing or journaling or poetry has gone by the way side. But with a whole extra day on your hand, you don’t have any more excuses. Put that pencil to paper and get busy, missy!
-
Take a nap.
Okay, we know this one sounds boring, but honestly when’s the last time you got a full eight hours? We bet you’ve been skimping on that beauty sleep, so take a break, stretch out on the sofa and just relax. Curl up with a book for good measure and read until your eyelids get heavy. Whether or not you actually fall asleep, you’ll feel way refreshed after.

Be brave.
Hey, it’s a snow day, so go play in that snow. If you’re bold enough, get outside in that freezing cold and make a party of it with some friends. Have a snowball fight – heck, have a snowball war.
