5 ways to make your bestie's birthday extra special
Whether you're having a bad day, need an ice cream date or just want advice on that new outfit, your best friend *always* has your back. So when her special day rolls around, it only makes sense that you'd want to make it as meaningful as possible.
Sadly, COVID-19 has restricted many birthday traditions, like throwing a party, holding a sleepover or going to her fave restaurant. You may not even see her at school this year. Nevertheless, there are still plenty of options to make your bestie feel like a birthday princess, while staying safe at the same time.
Send her a sweet message
It doesn't have to be as elaborate as Charli's touching post for Avani, but any simple message (through text or Insta) will surely put a smile on your bestie's face. List what you love about her, include a GIF or two and hit send (with the confetti effect, of course).
Leave balloons on her mailbox
If you're not a writing-type-of-gal, consider getting up early and putting a bunch of balloons (in her fave color, obviously) on her mailbox. When she wakes up, the cheery balloons will automatically put her in the *best* mood to start the day.
Plan a drive-by parade
If your bestie has a ton of friends and family, you *have* to try out a drive-by parade. Pick a meeting time and location, tell everyone to decorate their cars and honk like *crazy* when you drive by her house. This is guaranteed to make her birthday one to remember.
Make her favorite meal or dessert
Are you an ah-maze-ing baker or chef? Share your talent with your bestie for her birthday by making her fave cake or pasta meal. You know what they say: Food is the way to a girl's heart!
Make a picture collage
If she's your bestie, we know you have at least 100 pics of her in your camera roll. Every photo has a special memory (especially the bloopers), so document them in a pic collage for the *cutest* and most meaningful birthday gift. When she walks by the collage, she'll think of your special friendship and the best birthday quarantine birthday ever.
