Pull off the best friendsgiving *ever* this year

Thanksgiving is all about celebrating with the fam...but what about your friends? You're *just* as thankful for them, and this year, you can show it by hosting a friendsgiving party! Gather all your pals the weekend before Turkey Day for your own version of the holiday, complete with plenty of delicious food and happy memories. Follow our tips for a fab feast:

Choose your guests wisely. How many people do you want to invite? And the more important question, who do you want to invite? Bigger isn't always better when it comes to your bash. Consider keeping it small with your besties...or use it as a time to mix your different friend groups. Just make sure you clear it with your parents (if you're having it at home) first.

Plan the menu. If cooking is your thing and if you're feeling super ambitious, feel free to be the head chef. But otherwise, make your dinner potluck style. Ask each of your buds to bring one of their favorite dishes to share. It's a great way to try new things and get everyone involved. The trick, though? Having everyone sign up for a course ahead of time so you don't get stuck with ten different kinds of pie...and nothing else.

Keep it casual (and simple). Now is not the time for Grandma's fancy china. There's a good chance your rowdy BGF could drop his plate and plus, who wants to wash *all* of those dishes? Surely not you. Make cleanup easy with paper plates and plastic utensils that you can get rid of after everyone leaves. Bonus: You can pick a set in a festive pattern!

Set the mood. That means paying attention to the details, from hanging adorable decor (like this pumpkin pie garland!) to prepping the perfect party playlist. Make sure you have enough seats for all your guests, too. You may need to set out folding chairs depending on how many people you invited, so plan ahead.
