5 gift ideas for someone you don't know well

Whether it's an Xmas gift for someone in your friend group you haven't had the chance to hang out with one-on-one yet or a Secret Santa for the girl in your class you've been *dying* to talk to, sometimes you need to get a gift for someone you don't know super well. Before you pick up a random gift card (sorry, Starbies), here are five thoughtful gifts that any gal (even one who's kind of a stranger) will love!

Candles

Bath and Body Works, $27

Candles are the perfect gift for anyone, anytime. If you've seen on her Instagram that she loves the beach, get her a scent that smells like the ocean. If you know she's obsessed with the holidays, get her seasonal scent exactly like pine, spiced apple or gingerbread cookies (yes, they exist!).

Blankets

Target, $22

There is no better feeling than snuggling up in bed, surrounded by an ultra-soft blanket. Why not share the feeling and give a super cozy (and cute) cuddle buddy?

Plushies

Claire's, $20

Squishmallows are *the* perfect stuffed animals. Any Secret Santa recipient is sure to fall in love with the soft material and adorable design (bc who could resist that face?)

Water bottles

Owala, $28

You can't go wrong with a nice water bottle. It's beyond practical, and there are *so* many cute designs out there (plus cute stickers you can throw in as a bonus gift!), making for a visually appealing and v. useful prezzie.

Tote bags

Cotton On, $5

Tote bags carry a lot of versatility as a gift (get it?). There are a lot of chic options to choose from, and you can even use it to hold other mini presents (such as a cute keychain or one of the water bottles we recommended).
