Stressed? These workouts will make you feel *way* better
We all know that exercise benefits your bod, but did you know it benefits your mind, too? A daily sweat sesh can help you keep your cool and prevent you from feeling overwhelmed whether you're dealing with school, parents, boys or bad BFFs, it’s easy to let stress get the best of you. Fight feeling frazzled and fried with these six activities to help you de-stress.
Yoga. After first greeting your Yogi with a friendly “namaste,” you will totally fall in love with the chill vibes that this workout gives off. Yoga is designed to be independent and soothing and as you focus on channeling your breathing and stretching your body, you will be able to clear your mind.
Kickboxing. If you are into more fast-paced activities, try kickboxing. It is a great way to not only get out some of that pent-up frustration but also teach yourself a little self-defense. Try this home boxing workout from a pro trainer.
Biking. Sitting and getting exercise—what could be better? Biking lets you explore your neighborhood or town and allows you to go at your own pace. If you want some company, bring a friend. There's no better way to relieve stress than laughing with your bestie, after all.
Hiking. If you love nature, hiking is definitely for you. In the woods or in the mountains, you'll be able to clear your mind and find some peace.
Dancing. Whether you're jamming out in your room to some Selena Gomez or taking a Zumba class at the gym, dancing is definitely the *most* fun way to get your blood pumping.
Tai Chi. An ancient martial arts practice, Tai Chi is sure to help you relax and think in the moment instead of dwelling on your anxieties.
