These no-bake energy bites are an easy (and healthy) snack
For all you oatmeal cookie lovers out there, we have the *perf* sweet and healthy treat for you. These no-bake oat bites give you a boost of energy and a little bit of chocolately goodness—what more could you ask for? The recipe is super simple and comes out nearly perfect every time—so there is really no excuse to *not* try it out. You can check out the full recipe here, or follow the step-by-step instructions below:
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (we *love* semi-sweet, but you can use whatever kind you like!)
- 1/2 cup flaxseed meal
- 1/2 crunchy peanut butter
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
All you have to do is combine the ingredients in a bowl, mix them together with your hands or a rubber scraper, form them into balls that are about the size of golf balls, and throw them in freezer until they set (this will probably take about an hour!)
You can store them in the refrigerator after they are set for quick and easy snacking.
