GET CRAFTY: Tee It Up!
Model: GL's cutie-patootie intern Sharon!
Have a lot of old t-shirts lying around? Out of cute tops to wear? Tired of wearing the same thing as your friends? This super cute do-it-yourself tee is sure to give your closet a boost, a sparkle, a ta-daaa!
What You'll Need:
- T-shirt (loose-fitting)
- Scissors
- Permanent marker
What You Do:
1. Prepare: Lie the t-shirt down flat on a table or the ground. Choose a side to start designing your shirt.
2. Mark. Take the permanent marker and make 2-inch marks, 1 to 1.5 inches apart, down the side of the shirt from the arm pit area to the bottom. Do the same for the other side.
3. Cut. Once you've finished marking, take the scissors and cut the 2-inch marks. After all the lines have been cut, you should have several loops. Go back and cut all the loops so the shirt is pretty much not attached!
4. Tie. Take each pair of shreds (the loose portion of the cuts made earlier) and tie them into double knots all the way down. Do this for both sides.
Additional Step: In order to make the shirt off-shoulder, take the marker and draw a rough line across from one end of the shoulder to the other. Cut along the line. The knot design can also be used on the shoulder area if preferred.
