The best foodie accounts to follow on Instagram
One of the sweeter sides of social media is the online food community. Chefs, bakers and regular food lovers snap pics of their favorite meals for the ‘gram, from an unusual ice cream flavor to an indulgent cheese pizza. Maybe you’re looking for recipe inspo, or maybe you want to make a food bucket list for when things reopen. Whatever the case, we’ve sorted through the #foodies to find five that are worth a follow.
If you’re looking for…
Breakfast
@patryslifejournal is a hidden gem within the #breakfastgoals community. Featuring everything from savory golden omelets to fluffy waffles, Patricia’s account will make you never want to settle for cereal again. Her captions are in Spanish, but Instagram has a translate feature if you’d like to read them in another language.
Lunch
You may have seen Jessica Woo, aka @packmylunchmom, on TikTok, but if you haven’t you’re in for a treat. Her neat bento box lunches are an inspiration for moms (& kids) everywhere. She makes fun shapes out of food and tops off each meal with a sweet note for her kids that makes you wish your packed lunches were as cool.
Dinner
Besties Julia Weiner and Sarah Koestler describe themselves as “two friends who love to eat”. A scroll through their drool-worthy account, @twofriends.eat, will inspire you to form your own foodie squad ASAP. After all, one of the great things about good food is sharing it with the people you heart—though if we could get our hands on this sesame chicken, we might think twice about sharing.
Dessert
Brittney Thomas’s @brittsfoodjournal showcases the best of Arizona’s food scene. While not exclusively dessert-themed, her food journal features plenty of delectable treats like the chocolatey crepes shown above. You don’t have to be in the Southwest to admire the local sweets.
Vegan dessert
Holly Jade of @thelittleblogofvegan proudly touts that she was a food blogger of the year in 2017—and it’s not hard to see why she earned the title. Her vegan treats look just as good (and often better) than your run-of-the-mill desserts. Plus, if you try one of her recipes, you might get featured in her IG highlights.
