What I Wore to Save the World
Harry Potter is a wizard. Edward Cullen is a vampire. Morgan Rawlinson is half-goddess?
Approaching her final year of high school, Morgan is faced with the typical fears of many seniors, like where to go to college and what to study. Although she may sound like the average student, underneath, she is hiding a deep, dark secret. Recently, Morgan discovered she is half-goddess from the days of Irish lore (how’s that for a surprise?), and now it’s up to her to save the world. To make matters worse, her long-time crush, Irish hottie Colin, gets tangled up in the disaster, forcing Morgan to tell him the truth.
Leprechauns, gnomes, mermaids, faeries--these are all old news to Morgan. But when Colin claims to see a unicorn, Morgan knows something is up! The non-believer that he is, Colin thinks his pals dressed up ponies as a joke, but he is still left somewhat confused when he finds a mysterious message scratched into the green moss of the forest floor: “Must Save World, Get Morgan, Now.” Uh oh, things start to heat up!
A high school senior’s mission: go to school, pass the calculus test and win the soccer game. Morgan’s mission: wander in a strange forest alone to look for unicorns in the dark, all to be back in time for breakfast.
To her surprise, Morgan finds the unicorns and discovers that those in the faery world want to break down the barrier between the human and magic realms so they can live freely among the mortals. Faeries, mermaids, elves, trolls, giants, leprechauns, pixies and humans? Morgan freaks out when she realizes the humans would come out fighting if this were to happen.
