Alphas: The New Clique
Skye Hamilton, from Lisi Harrison’s The Clique, is the total “it” girl. From fashion, to dance, to boys, there’s no one who could claim her queen bee throne…or at least that’s what she thought until she received acceptance into the Alpha Academy.
In Harrison’s new series, Skye is chosen to be one of the lucky 100 girls to attend Alpha. Founded by Shira Brazille–famous entrepreneur, innovator, etc. – Alpha is the school to attend with its savvy technology set in a dream-like island.
But when Skye arrives at the exclusive and secret island (on her personalized jet!), she realizes that it’s not going to be all fun and games when she meets her new roommates: triple threat Allie J., Renee and Charlie. And with the addition of Shira’s five (totally off limits yet totally HOT) sons, the Alphas are definitely in for some drama.
Throughout the book, the Alphas also find out that one (and ONLY one) girl will be selected to be Shira’s successor to build another generation of leaders. The news obviously creates more catty rivalry between the girls, but also scares them to know one single mistake can ruin their chances forever, ultimately sending them home.
Alphas is undoubtedly a page turner that will leave you wanting more. The futuristic technology, oh-so-cute boys and drama are just only a few elements that make this the perfect novel for young teen readers.
