6 fall reading essentials to help you accomplish your TBR
Fall's in full swing, and you know what that means: It’s time to accomplish your TBR. Get ready to smash your reading goal in style, bc we made a list of six fall reading essentials that will keep you cozy and aesthetic as you turn those pages.
Create a fall-themed playlist
Open up your Spotify, because it's time to get into the fall mood. Add some songs from Red (Taylor's Version), a few Phoebe Bridgers hits and anything from the Twilight soundtrack. If you want to jump right into your TBR pile but still want some fun songs to get you in the mood, check out some pre-made dark academia playlists. They’ll have the perfect songs for any fall read.
Scented candles
Love reading outside but not a fan of the chilly fall weather? Lighting a candle will make you feel like you’re sipping apple cider at the pumpkin patch. Your room will be glowing and smelling great. So light your fave candle and get ready to feel like you’ve been transported into your book.
Cozy blankets
Nothing can get you ready to read like a cozy blanket. There’s simply nothing better than curling up with a book, especially during the fall. Pull out your chunky blanket or look for something new that screams fall (try an earthy tone like mustard, burgundy or burnt orange).
Bookish tote bags
Are you a girl on the go? Whether heading to the pumpkin patch or apple orchard, we all love to carry our current read with us. A bookish tote bag is a super cute way to bring your book with you everywhere you go.
A PSL and fall treats
Food is the best way to keep things exciting, trust. Take a quick look around Trader Joe's and pick up some pumpkin cookies, maple ice cream or fall-themed chocolates. Don’t forget a warm drink!
Aesthetic annotating tabs and pens
Ever finished an amazing book and wished you could reread your fave part? Annotating tabs can help you out and keep your book matching your aesthetic. If you really want to upgrade your annotating, try adding some cute notes with pretty pens and highlighters.
