A new Twilight book drops tomorrow—with a major twist

It's hard to believe that it's been more than ten years since the last book in the original Twilight saga was published. Fans of the OG vampire-werewolf-love triangle did get a new book five years ago with Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined, a gender-swapped version of the original novel. But things have been pretty quiet—until this month.

Stephenie Meyer's newest work, Midnight Sun, hits bookstores tomorrow. Like Life and Death, the book revisits the first work in the hit saga and shows us a new side of the story: Edward Cullen's side.

Ever wonder when he fell in love with Bella Swan? Muse about what was going through Edward's mind when she discovered he was a vampire? All these q's (and more) will be answered in Midnight Sun.

Just don't expect a movie adaptation anytime soon—at least, not one with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. The two have become stars in their own right since the franchise premiered, and likely aren't anxious to revisit their roles.

The director of the first film, Catherine Hardwicke, also shot down the popular fan idea of re-editing the first movie so that it's told from Edward's perspective. Instead, she suggested to Entertainment Tonight that the work would probably need a movie of its own.

Whether or not Midnight Sun makes it to the silver screen, we're excited to find out what the novel reveals about the OG moody teen vampire.
