Is it really all about your body type? 45 Pounds (more or less) weighs in
When Ann finds out she’s the maid of honor in her Aunt Jackie’s wedding, you would think she’d be thrilled. But Ann is a size 17 and does NOT want to go to the wedding looking how she looks, and feeling how she feels. So she decides that she absolutely has to lose 45 pounds before the big day.
The only question? How is she supposed to lose 45 pounds in 10 weeks? Ann decides that the answer is in her infomercial diet plan, filled with an extreme exercise video and some gross diet food.
Ann comes to realize that maybe being happy isn’t all about how you look, but how you feel. And you don’t have to be super-skinny to get a guy to like you. 45 Pounds (more or less) by K. A. Barson is a must-read and totally relatable because we all know how it feels to be self-conscious about our body at some point in our lives.
Do you think Ann can find it in her to be happy in time for the wedding? Read 45 Pounds (more or less) when it hits stores July 11 to find out.
