Don't be Forgotten
Cat Patrick’s debut novel, Forgotten, follows London Lane, a girl who forgets everything that has happened during the day when she goes to sleep. She wakes up every morning without any memories, completely depending on notes that she has written to herself the day before.
London’s memory problem makes things complicated as she tries to keep up in school, deal with friends and family and date Luke, the cute new guy at school. Suddenly, she begins to have scary visions of things that haven’t even happened yet. As these visions become freakier and freakier, she realizes she needs to start figuring out more about her mysterious past before it badly affects her future.
Forgotten is a fast-paced mystery that has tons of drama. The romance in this story adds some fun, oftentimes reminding you of 50 First Dates, as the guy learns to deal with a girl who can’t remember anything they’ve done together in the past.
The best part of the book? Reading the little notes London has left for herself, making your wonder what it would be like if you, too, had to write a note to yourself to remember your life. Creepy, right?
