Must List

Lovin' Nick Jonas' new album!

I was a little worried at first about Nick Jonas’ new album since he already has tons of success with Joe and Kevin, but oh my Jonas, the album actually rocks. We listened to the brand new album and totally love it.

Who I Am by Nick Jonas and the Administration is definitely a different sound from what he makes with his bros, which is usually fast-paced rock and catchy tracks. Young Nick looks like he wanted to slow things down to be more of a blues/rock-pop artist, focused on showing the world just how good of a musician he really is.

The background instrumentals are crisp and his band, the Administration, consists of a great group of musicians put together by his producer John Fields. It actually sounds very similar to the style of blues/pop-fusion artist John Mayer—but with Nick’s soulful voice.

The instrumentals are what are most impressive about this album. The guitar riffs and solos throughout the songs are epic, advanced and real quality.

He pours out his heart in each song and wrote about things that he considered real to him. The popular “Who I am” single shows he has something to prove while “Rose Garden” and “Olive and Arrow” (two of my favorites) have fabulous storytelling and attitude.

I also really enjoyed the slower version of “Tonight,” which he previously did with his brothers. It was a nice surprise since the track was already a hit and very recognizable to loyal fans.

The album is very fun to listen to, so ladies, you will not be disappointed if you pick up Li’l J’s new CD. Every song sounds completely different from the rest, making it obvious that Nick was trying to explore new music and show off his versatility and songwriting ability.

If you love Nick, which I know you do, you’ll love him even more after listening to this confessional of ten songs and find out what’s been on his mind.

Be sure to check out Who I am (in stores TODAY) and let us know your fave track.
