Elle Woods girlies, listen up: Reese Witherspoon and Prime Video just announced that a Legally Blonde prequel series is on its way!

The new show, Elle, is coming from Reese's media company Hello Sunshine. It'll follow the one and only Elle Woods through her high school days in the '90s—before she started slaying as our favorite lawyer in pink.

According to Reese Witherspoon, Elle Woods herself circa 2001 (and executive producer for the new series), "Fans will get to know how Elle Woods navigated her world as a teenager with her distinct personality and ingenuity, in ways that only our beloved Elle could do. What could be better than that?!"

Where—and when—to watch? Elle's origin story will be available to stream on Prime Video in 2025, with casting and exact release dates TBA (read: *plenty* of time to plan our pink fits for the premiere!).

So we have to wait a bit to see 16-year-old Elle killing it on the big screen... but that gives us the perfect excuse to re-watch Legally Blonde 1 and 2 (summer movie marathon, anyone?).

Brb, just making some popcorn and throwing on our biggest hot pink sunglasses—while reminding ourselves that *anything* is possible!
