Spring is here, bb! Time to let the sunshine in, wave goodbye to stress and throw a dance party to your fave summery bop. 

Our current ~sunny szn~ must-listen? "OMG" by Reese Warren. The artist/actress/social media star, 14, has captured the perfect carefree vibe in her latest single (listen here!)...and after a week spent streaming TTPD over and over again (and getting wayyyy too in our feelings, tbh) it's kinda the pump-up mood we need rn. 

"It's the story behind a girl going on her first date—she's nervous, she's excited, she's thinking, like, 'OMG, I never thought it would be this person...but it is,'" Reese explains on what inspired the track. "It was a lot of fun to record—just a good pop song that I enjoyed making a lot. It's a dancing song." 

For Reese, singing and dancing go hand in hand...and that's not because of TikTok. She remembers discovering her passion for performing: "I was really into musical theater when I was younger—I was a background character in Annie, I was Lucy in Charlie Brown." At age 10, she began working with a vocal coach and aspiring to put out her own music. Around the same time, her bubbly energy got her noticed on social media where she even hosted an Instagram talk show alongside other kid influencers. 

Despite her Insta audience of over 200K, Reese relies on her fam and friends to stay grounded and genuine. "I don't check my comments very often—I let my mom do that," she says of encountering haters. "When I do see something negative, I remind myself it's just a random person...I don't need to let it get to me."

When she's not pursuing music and acting, she loves spending time with her OG squad ("I love having sleepovers with my cousins—I have over 100 people in my family!" she reveals) and her close-knit bestie crew ("we hang out in Orange County often"). One adorbs fam tradition you're going to want to borrow: "My mom and I always did this thing called 'Last Sunday of the Month,'" Reese explains. "Everyone would come over, we'd have a little pool party get-together and it was so fun." 

When it comes to music, Reese has a total pop icon role model: Ariana Grande. (Her fave Ari album? thank u, next. Her current Ari era? "Maybe Yours Truly," she spills.) 

Reese may have mega dreams (think: albums, world tour, pop stardom) but at the end of the day she keeps it real" "My perfect day would be going with my friends, my cousins—all the people I love most—getting acai bowls, driving with the windows rolled down and going to the beach," she confesses. "Then we'd blast some more music and play board games and just be outside." (We vote adding "OMG" to the "windows down" playlist.)
