It's official: The Descendants franchise has another movie in the works! Disney just announced that the trilogy is getting its fourth movie (with production starting next year), and we couldn't be more excited. Here are all the deets that we know so far about the film, from the cast to the plot.

Titled Descendants: The Pocketwatch, this movie is sure to live up to fans' expectations. Inspired by the classic Alice in Wonderland, the film is sure to be full of whimsical plots and fun storylines. It's rumored to release in 2023 on Disney+.

China Anne McClain (Uma) is set to lead the film with two exciting newcomers. Dara Reneé (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) is set to play Cinderella's daughter, Chloe, and Kylie Cantrall (Gabby Duran & The Unsittables, and our latest GL cover star, nbd) will be the Queen of Hearts' daughter, Red. Other cast members from the original series have yet to be confirmed, but the movie is sure to have a lot of star power. We cannot wait to see the next generation of Auradon!

Plot deets

The brainy Red and athletic Chloe have to come together in order to save the present by going back in time. In order to achieve their mission, they must use the White Rabbit's pocketwatch, which might led to more trouble than they expected. Facing her own problems, Uma is back with lots of unfinished business—and it seems that this movie is already going to be a hit!

Show-stopping tunes

It wouldn't be a Disney movie without an iconic playlist of tunes, and The Pocketwatch will be no exception. The film will have a mix of original songs (seven in total!) and OG Disney classics that will be sure to get everyone singing along.
