Flirty Facebook Feuds

Can’t stop wondering about that girl who’s been posting flirty comments on your guy’s Facebook wall? You go to her page to see what’s going on. Jealous? Not you....

According to the U.S. News and World Report, Facebook provides its 200 million users with so much info that it causes jealousy to be more prevalent among relationships. A new study published in the CyberPsychology and Behaviour journal asked hundreds of college students about their internet habits and just how much they snoop on others’ profiles.

Jealousy is nothing new, but this easy access to info is! Facebook doesn’t record who visits your page, it’s easy to monitor profiles, while going unnoticed. Plus, FB has much less context to explain why who’s gabbing with whom, so jealousy is a common result.

Seventy-five percent of those surveyed said they were Facebook friends with their past and current significant others. The study also showed that these students spent about 40 minutes a day on Facebook.

Do you check out your crush or BF’s profile looking for info? Do you get jealous when other girls text or message your guy?
