The 2020 Women’s March is this weekend—here’s what you need to know
Here at Girls' Life, we know that the future is female—after all, we hear from so many of *you* every day. On Saturday, January 18, 2020, you'll have an opportunity to join other women and take a stand. The 2020 Women's March is taking place in Washington D.C., and whether you want to call attention to equal pay, the #metoo movement, reproductive rights, or any other issue that affects women, you'll be surrounded by like-minded ladies (and gentlemen!) who feel the same way you do. See the full list of events here.
While the official march is in Washington D.C., there are tons of "sister marches" in major cities around the country. Use this cool tool to find the one closest to you. And don't forget—a good sign can make a major impact.
Don't live near one of the official marches? You can still get involved! Donate to the cause or get your girls together and think of a unique way to celebrate women in your neighborhood: You can volunteer to tutor little girls, support female-owned businesses, go to see a movie directed by a female (Little Women, anyone?!) etc. The possibilities are endless when it comes to #girlpower!
What are you planning to do to celebrate the women's march? Let us know in the comments!
