Jayden Bartels’ new song will give you all the feels
If you've ever been in a toxic group of friends, you know how hard that experience is. Rumors, lies, and bullying take all the fun out of having a squad. Jayden Bartels, a singer, actress, and dancer (you might've caught her on Dance Moms or the new Nick web show Camp Nick) explores the negativity and hopelessness of this sitch in her new single "The Group".
The song's mellow ukulele-centered beat is paired with relatable lyrics about the sadness that comes with being in the group: "The drama, the lies, the fights and now I know what it’s really like inside".
Jayden wrote the song herself, and directed the heartbreaking music video, which you can watch below.
At the end of the vid Jayden ends up leaving the group's toxic chat, choosing to be *drama-free* at last.
You can listen to the song wherever you stream music. And, if you want to see Jayden live, she'll be performing alongside Max & Harvey at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA—get tix here!
