These sweet tweets spread a message of positivity

Sometimes it’s easy to concentrate more on the negative and not enough on the positive, which is why one Brockton High School student decided she wanted to make a difference.

The student, who is a junior and chose to remain anonymous, started up a Twitter account that posts anonymous compliments about students at Brockton High in Brockton, MA.

“I noticed that Twitter and Facebook both can be very cruel places most of the time,” the student told CBS Boston. “So I just wanted to create a page where people could submit positive comments about people instead of bashing them.”

The student who started the account said she was cyber bullied during her first two years in high school. Not wanting others to feel bad about themselves, she started her positivity movement @BrocktonComps

Students submit the compliments online via DM.

“I see who writes the compliments but I never post who writes them,” she said. “I copy and paste that compliment, post it on Twitter and quote it.”

So far, the Twitter has over 800 followers and over 900 tweets.

The student said she’ll keep the sweet tweets coming, which is sure to keep a smile on everyone’s face.

So what do you think about this story, girlies? Do you think doing something like this at your school would have a postive impact?
