Consider this the American Revolution, Taylor's Version. After over a decade of only dating London boys (Joe Alwyn, Calvin Harris, Harry Styles, Matty Healy), Taylor Swift's presence at this Sunday's Kansas City Chiefs vs. Chicago Bears game brought two of America's biggest fanbases together—the Swifties and the NFL stans. 

Rumors about the budding romance between Taylor Swift and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce have been circulating since Taylor's Kansas City stop on the Eras Tour. Now, we have official proof that they're hanging out together. (Did you see those sunset convertible pics? Swooning!) If you feel like you're tuning into football for the first time ever, you're not alone. I mean, the last time T. Swift dated a boy on the football team was at 15!

Luckily, you don't have to start memorizing plays to get to know Travis Kelce. We've rounded up everything Swifties need to know about Taylor's potential bae. Our new fave player, obvi!

His brother plays for the Philadelphia Eagles

As we all know, Taylor's a Philly fan first. That Eagles T-shirt in "gold rush" was hanging from the door for a reason! But DW, Taylor isn't totally ignoring her Philadelphia roots by donning red and white in Kansas City. That's because Travis Kelce's older brother Jason Kelce plays center for the Eagles! The sibling duo may play opposing teams in the NFL, but they grew up playing together in high school and college. Worlds officially collided at the 2023 Super Bowl, when Travis and Jason's teams went head-to-head in the NFL championship. Talk about a brotherly competition. (Psst: Wanna learn more about Jason? He has won the Super Bowl *twice*

Just like Tay, Travis knows what it's like to perform in front of a sold-out stadium. In 2020 and 2023, the Kansas City Chiefs pulled out Super Bowl wins against the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles, respectively. In both years, Travis led the entire NFL for tight-end touchdowns. An MVP on the field and maybe now in T-Swift's heart.

He played college football at the University of Cincinnati 

As a native Ohioan, Travis kickstarted his career as a tight end for the University of Cincinnati between the years of 2008 and 2012, joining older brother and fellow Bearcat Jason. Considering that Aaron Dessner also hails from Ohio, we can assume that blondie has a soft spot for the Cincinnati alum.

He has a podcast with his brother called New Heights

Ah, where it all started. At the beginning of the 2022 NFL season, Travis and brother Jason created a podcast together called "New Heights," a name celebrating their hometown of Cleveland Heights and their latest venture into the world of podcasting. The brothers pride themselves in keeping the pod authentic and entertaining—a one-stop shop for BTS football content. We first heard about Travis's crush on Taylor on the show, too. In July, Travis recounted his experience at the Eras Tour and explained that he wanted to give Taylor a friendship bracelet with his number on it, but never had the opportunity to. Needless to say, Travis reached new heights of honesty on the podcast, and it paid off.

His mom gives us total Andrea Swift vibes

Travis's mom Donna "Mama" Kelce stole the show at the 2023 Super Bowl when she sported a split jersey featuring both of her sons' team colors to the game. She also stole our hearts this weekend, when she was spotted chumming it up with our best girl Taylor in Travis' family suite at Arrowhead Stadium. Her blonde hair and friendship with T-Swift gave us total Andrea Swift vibes—we can't wait for Mama Swift and Mama Kelce to meet.

He has a sense of humor

Travis Kelce doesn't take himself too seriously, and we love him for it. After epic touchdowns, Travis has been known to break out in hilarious dances with his KC teammates. We're obsessed with the edits of his moves. Travis also hosted SNL earlier this year with musical guest Kelsea Ballerini, where he donned a stylish pink suit and poked fun at his family-filled 2023 Super Bowl. His fam was in the audience too, laughing along. Absolutely adorbs.
