Zendaya dropped out of Aaliyah!

Remember when we told you a couple weeks ago that Z joined the cast of Aaliyah: More than a Woman biopic? Well that’s officially dunzo for now. The Disney star dropped out of the film on Sunday—but not without a lot of controversy and backlash from fans. Responding to the haters, Zendaya reportedly set the record straight saying, "I feel it was being rushed and I feel like production just wasn't there. I have too much respect and love for Aaliyah as a person to do anything less for her.” Are you sad about this? Who do you think should play Aaliyah now? 

Forget about Total Ariana Live...it should be Total Ariana Takeover

Is it just us or is Ariana Grande everywhere lately? This week, she revealed her new album name, My Everything, which is set to release Aug. 25. Then she took over MTV for “Total Ariana Live” and released her new single “Break Free” (which is our new summer jam, BTW). Not only that, but Ariana just announced that she’ll be performing at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards next month. We can’t wait!  

Enchanted sequel is in the works

Raise your hand if you heart Enchanted. The Disney fairytale that mixed live-action and animation was so major when it came out all the way back in 2007. And we’re so excited because according to Deadline it's getting a numero 2. Enchanted was basically our obsession waaaay before the time of Frozen. There’s no further details regarding the storyline just yet, but let’s just say Amy Adams better reprise her role.

Is Harry leaving 1D?!

There were some rumors going around H-wood that one of our absolute fave 1D guys was gonna split from the boys and go solo. Harry Styles has been writing music on his own, but don’t worry girlies that rumor’s totally busted! A rep for the group told E! News this week, "There are no plans for Harry to release any solo music at this time, any writing that he is doing is for potential One Direction songs. It's common knowledge that the boys write separately and bring to each other for the album.” Seriously, we were almost in tears just thinking about it. Even though an only Harry album would kinda be ah-mazing, it would seriously be such a shame to not see our boys being silly on stage together. Are we right or are we right?

Holla! Zac is dancing again

OK so this isn’t exactly “gossip” but how can we resist reporting on this cute video of Zac Efron dancing with his friends. RIP High School Musical days. The Instagram vid of him busting some moves to Jason Derulo’s latest tune while on vacation in Italy has been making the rounds in the Hollywood blogosphere this week. We almost forgot Zac can sing and dance amazingly (key word: almost).
