Beat the Monday blues with Booboo Stewart

If you’re lookin’ for a way to beat those Monday blues tonight have no fear, new episodes are here! We’re totally squealing because not only will there be a new episode of Disney XD’s Kickin’ It, but, drum roll please…Twilight star Booboo Stewart will be guest-starring!

On Kickin’ It, Jack feels left out when Carson (Booboo Stewart), an old friend of the group, returns to Seaford. He feels so replaced that he ends up ditching his team and joining the Black Dragons, their rival team. The question is: Will he return to his friends and team, or will he stick with the Black Dragons?

Thought we were finished? Think again! Not only is there a new episode of Kickin’ It, but there’s a Lab Rats special event as well. In this episode, they’re set to have their biggest mission yet…in space!

We got a chance to chat with the stars of both of these shows. Read on to see what they had to say about tonight’s episodes…

We asked…Mateo Arias / Kickin’ It

What’s the biggest thing you were surprised to learn about Booboo Stewart?

“How amazing he was at martial arts. It was classic to see Leo and Booboo rehearse and shoot the fight scenes.”

We asked…Leo Howard / Kickin’ It

What was it like working with Booboo?

“What many people don’t know is that this episode was not the first time I’ve worked with him. We have known each other since I was 5 and we used to compete together at martial arts tournaments. In 2009, we had a chance to work together again for an independent film, and now on Kickin’ It! It was great to catch up with him, and it’s nice to know that he’s still the same great guy I used to hit the mats with.”

We asked…Kelli Berglund / Lab Rats

What was your favorite thing about filming this week’s episode?

“For a majority of the scenes, we used a huge green screen that would later be edited to become outer space! Having to wear an extremely heavy astronaut suit and balance on a small metal plate to make it look like I'm floating was pretty challenging, but it was totally worth it. The end result is quite spectacular.”
