These 2000s teen movie heroines will give you the ultimate fall fashion inspo

It's no secret that 2000s fashion has had a resurgence since the start of the 2020s. Butterfly barrettes, claw clips, colorful baby tees and microskirts have been seen on all of our fave celebs, all over our FYPs and maybe even in your own closet!

Now, while the chilly fall weather may force those bright tees and denim minis back into storage, your Y2K style doesn't have to end when summer does! To keep your style thriving, we've put together a list of our fave 2000s teen movie heroines with ah-mazing fall fits. These gals and their totally *fetch* wardrobes will be sure to inspire you all season long!

Lola from Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen

Alexa, please play "Drama Queen (That Girl)." This list could never ever be complete without the Lola Steppe! Not only does Lola have an infectious ambitious and outspoken energy, but she's also got an equally ambitious and show-stopping style to match.

Lola's looks are all about taking risks and making a statement. For one, she opts for a totally boho, flowy set with a matching headscarf for her first day of school in the suburbs (hello, main character energy)! For an edgier look, she can be found rocking a pair of cargos with a cute graphic shirt and a trucker cap. And who could ever forget that *iconic* bottle cap necklace?

How to get her look: Cargo pants are your bestie! You could also try layering a graphic tee with a mesh top to emulate Lola's style. Top it with a newsboy cap or trucker hat to accessorize and you've got the vibe.

Massie from The Clique

The Clique just may be the most underrated 2000s teen flicks, but its mean-girl-turned-heroine Massie Block has a fab fashion sense that has stood the test of time.

Massie's preppy, Blair Waldorf-esque style mixed with her sassy personality is what truly makes her stand out. To keep from becoming a "fashion don't," she's usually sporting a chic blazer and skirt set, opaque tights and a jewel-toned blouse underneath to add a pop of color. Massie's always sure to add in an eye-catching hair accessory, beret or chunky necklace to fully tie her look together.

How to get her look: While wearing a blazer and skirt set may not be practical for everyday, you can still channel Massie by incorporating a statement necklace, brooch, beret or headband that matches your fit. It'll be sure to add that monochromatic, preppy vibe. Bonus: argyle, neutral and bold sweaters with pleated skirts are def Massie-approved!

Chloe & Riley from Winning London

@theolsens

How could we ever leave out Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen! This fall, we're taking all our inspo from their characters, Chloe & Riley Lawrence.

Chloe (Mary-Kate), the competitive and headstrong twin, opts for lots of plaid pieces and matching brown or neutral sets. Meanwhile, chill and easygoing Riley (Ashley) rocks fits with a green color scheme and opts for statement pieces like printed pants. What ties them together? The classic, neutral tone trench coats they wear while exploring London.

How to get their look: If you're more of a Chloe, then go for plaid pants or a skirt. Leaning Riley? Jeans or printed pants are the way to go! For the best of both worlds: A trench coat is a must.

Daphne from What a Girl Wants

@nostalgiavie

We'll never not love Daphne's rebellious yet timeless fits. Her denim-heavy wardrobe (flared jeans galore!) mixed with an affinity for everything DIY (peep her eclectic pin collection) and colorful scarves offer just the right blend of boho and street-style edge.

How to get her look: A simple white cami under a structured black blazer paired with low-rise jeans and a fun belt gives Y2K with minimal effort.
