On Sunday, the Golden Globes kicked off the 2018 award season with a bang—and a big conversation.

That night, stars used their platform to highlight an important movement with an important purpose: #TimesUp. The movement, which debuted on New Year's Day, was created to help bring an end to sexual assault in the workplace—not just in the world of entertainment, but across industries. Celebrities supported it by wearing Time's Up pins, dressing in black garb to stand in solidarity with victims of sexual assault and by speaking up about inequality, assault and violence in their award presentations and acceptance speeches. 

The stars were much more colorful on the Critics' Choice Awards blue carpet tonight (though many, including Reese Witherspoon, Emilia Clarke, Laura Dern and more, did wear black), but the importance and power of speaking up was still very much a theme of the night. When director Jordan Peele accepted his award for Best Original Screenplay for Get Out, he said the film started with the idea that a cry for justice can come in many forms. "We wanted to give a message, that message being: racial injustice continues to be overlooked, and we don't discuss it in a sufficient way in our society." Meanwhile, Wonder Woman's Gal Gadot spoke to the responsibility celebrities have to set an example for society—to be the ones who start those discussions. "As artists and filmmakers, I believe it's not only our job to entertain, but our duty to educate and inspire for love and respect."

Gal Gadot

Wonder Woman looked absolutely *stunning* in this metallic pleated number. Even more stunning? Her speech when she accepted her #SeeHer award given to "recognize the importance of accurately portraying women across the entertainment landscape," says the director of Wonder Woman, Patty Jenkins, who presented Gal with her award. 

McKenna Grace

This tiny I, Tonya actress rocked the perf mix of pretty and gothic in her ruffled and floral high-neck number. V. age appropriate, too!

Rachel Brosnahan

Apparently lightining *does* strike twice. Rachel took home the award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series on Sunday at the Globes and tonight for her work in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
