4 laidback ways to show the love on National Wear Red Day
On the first Friday in February (that’s today) Americans get together and rock all shades of crimson to raise awareness for women’s heart disease. We’re joining in…but switching things up a bit. When celebs are donning scarlet frocks, we’re gonna dress down and show our softer side. Here are our four fave low-key (winter friendly!) pieces for goin’ red this year.
Right now, is there anything better to spend the day in than super-soft flannel? Um, no. This one has a bit of a nipped waist, so it won’t swallow ya whole.
AE Lightweight Plaid Flannel Shirt, $20, ae.com
We heart boots, but after months of wearing dark, practical shoes (hello, snow) it’s time to opt for something a bit brighter. Comfy crimson flats do the trick.
Basic Slip-On Flat, $15, wetseal.com
Red jeans are gonna be major for spring (yay!). These cute cords put a wintery spin on the trend. Cuddly with a chunky knit sweater or collegiate cool with a blazer.
Low-Rise Skinny Cord, $15, delias.com
Winter weekends are made for chillin’ out and curling up with a good book. Show your lit love with a book-inspired tee. We heart how super soft they are, too.
Out of Print 1984 T-Shirt, $28, outofprint.com
