We seroiusly can't wait for summer to arrive. From laying out in the sun, grabbing ice cream with our besties and *not* having school, what's not to love? Oh yeah—sweating our makeup off. Luckily, there are tons of ways to switch up your everyday makeup routine for a lighter, more comfortable look that is perfect for summer weather. Here are some of our favorite beauty tips for perfect summer makeup.

Start with SPF

We want a makeup look that's both sweat-proof and #Hyramapproved. SPF is so important, even if you’re planning to stay inside all day. You *def* don’t want to miss this step.

Prime your skin

Now for the makeup! Start with a primer—it will keep everything else in place throughout the day.

Concealer

Waking up early to take in every minute of summer leads to dark under-eye circles. You can even use a tinted moisturizer or "fluid tint" to banish your eye bags while still showing off your natural summer glow.

Use cream products

Powder blush, bronzer and highlighter instantly elevate any makeup look, but our winter products don't always cooperate with the sun and heat. Try cream products for longer lasting looks.

Use waterproof mascara

For a makeup look that *won’t* melt off in the pool, be sure to use waterproof mascara. 

Setting spray

Keep your makeup locked in all day with a quick coat of setting spray. It is also super helpful for a quick refresher on a hot day, and you can carry it around in your purse for easy on-the-go use.
